Dude. You said "bosom".

Also: Cheers for "doing it with"!

Guys are also happy for Wonder Women underwear. It leads to a fun little scenario involving the lasso that forces one to tell the truth, and--but I've said too much.

Just saw the Pixies at the Fox Theater in Detroit. It was the best concert of my life.

posted by amy on November 23, 2004 at 08:27 PM

i saw them in chicago a week and a half ago, and i'm seeing them again in new york in a month. suck it!

sb, what day are you seeing them here?

also, the next to last bullet point was rather "felicitous," if you will...

"Seeing the Pixies in less than a month!"

Your life will never be the same.

(Although I will be insanely jealous if you hear them do 'Winterlong', because they didn't play it when I saw them.)

Are "Skinned Knees" and "doing it with" related?

I need a photo! I am thankful you are my roommate too! yay!

posted by caroline on November 23, 2004 at 11:15 PM

i was also going to ask about the skinned knees and doin' it, but it is likely you won't tell.

Soda in your veins...I'm not sure about that. I was thinking more like--horseradish rush under the scalp or helium in the nasal cavity. But soda, it could be soda.

Happy for your happy.

i don't know you, but you're pretty damn keen as far as i'm concerned. i liked the one about being happy with where you are and what you're doing. it made me feel connected in a cheeseball zen way or something. seems like i'm into that shit a little more than usual tonight. so, thanks is the gist...

posted by pete on November 24, 2004 at 02:01 AM

that is so great. someone finally found a way to describe the "butterflies in the stomach" way cooler. 'cause that's how i feel when i see that someone i like calls on the caller ID, too. soda in my veins, baby. you're my rhetorical hero now.

also, i love the fact that the pics you post are "real" pictures you scanned in and not pictures taken with a digital camera.

posted by kim on November 24, 2004 at 03:54 AM

The only reason I'm still scanning "real" pictures is because I'm too broke to buy a digital camera right now. I asked for one for Christmas, but I think I'm getting solid gold knitting needles or something practical like that instead.

I love your lists. Happy Thanksgiving! How many roomates do you have?

posted by stella on November 24, 2004 at 09:37 AM

Two. There were some changes in the line-up throughout the year, though.

posted by Sarah B. on November 24, 2004 at 09:56 AM

same problem here (about the broke and all..) i make it better by telling myself how much "classier" it is to scan real pics. but i'm still peeing my pants in excitement 'cause i got a new cellphone today that can take pics and can email them to people (or me). i haven't worked since my lunch break four hours ago (when i picked it up) but taken pictures of everyone in the agency instead and assigned them to my co-workers numbers and then i made them all call my cellphone because it shows the picture of the person calling and..... geeez, i'm pathetic - and i want thanksgiving including the day off and the turkey..

and aren't we all thankful for ms. sarah brown??? i am. thanks for your wit and words, and have a happy thanksgiving!

I too am thankful for the Pixies... I just saw them last weekend in Detroit, and it was amazing! You're in for a treat. As if you didn't know. It was so surreal just to see the four of them on stage together, especially since I didn't learn about them until long after they'd already broken up back in the day.

Anyway, yeah. Very thankful for the Pixies Sell-Out Tour 2004.

Awesome, Sarah Brown. I am so happy about the second to last one, cause I can relate to it and feel so blessed and happy FOR YOU (someone I don't even know!) and that is a warm fuzzy feeling I like.

Aw, how lame.

Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Thanks for making me laugh.
