Come at me!

Agh! Have fun in London- hope that everything goes smoothly and Nick gets his visa all taken care of! Don't forget to write- I love hearing what's happening even though you're a perfect stranger and I'm sure you don't care that I care- but I do! Congrats again.

Christmas in London with the love of your life...can't imagine anything more romantic!

I'll be interested to hear how the fiance visa thing goes...I have a friend who is trying to circumnavigate the system right now and I am worried for him. His girlfriend is here in the US on a travel visa, and decided to stay for the 6 months. If they want to marry, they will do so before the 6 months is up then apply for permanent residency for her. Worries me that will not fly well with INS, but it's their life, not mine. I just keep saying, "If it's that easy, why doesn't everyone do that?" We'll see!

Either way, so excited for you and Nits and hope this means even more good stories with Antonia, Ian, Esme, and the baking bambino! Safe travel, you two!

ah, now if you're going to be our side of the water for a decent chunk of time, we *really* need another Dublin Cringe! (oooh - or take it on tour in the UK).
Also: I just emailed you this too but it's exciting enough to bear repeating: Amazon.co.uk's apparently shipping pre-orders of the UK Cringe book - my copy should be here in the land of the leprechauns tomorrow. Hurrah and huzzah!

I'm pretty sure I'll be at the Cringe thing so please send on details when possible! Thanks and see you there!

Oh, no! I'm doing everything backwards-- I'll be near new york until january, and much nearer London after that. Maybe I'll catch one London Cringe. Sounds wonderful though, and congrats on book launch number 2!

My copy of Cringe arrived from Amazon yesterday and it's had me in stitches. Congrats! Have fun in London.

Good luck!! Waiting the visa out in London is FAB- it's a long ass process and you get to spend it together which is just wonderful. Have a super awesome time and if you want something fun and stupid and frankly hilarious to do, check this place out: http://golondon.about.com/b/2008/07/01/wong-kei-londons-rudest-restaurant.htm You go along and service is terrible- but hilariously terrible. Try to think of a list of things you can ask for, do, etc before you go and see what happens. Fine holiday fun to be had by all!!!

ooooh, a dublin cringe! if it happened to be over the christmas / new year break while i was there it would be awesome! i think with the chance of cringe and a white christmas i might just explode :)

Your odds of a white Christmas in Dublin are pretty freaking low. But it makes up for it in other ways, mostly decorative. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2005/2068030210_02307216fc.jpg is a lovely example.
