"...said the art mistress to the gardener" was always my Dad's favourite.
I don't mind boyfriend-centric posts. Don't feel self-conscious about being so happy! POST! Your posts are always entertaining, no matter the subject.
Ask him about "Bob's your uncle." A British coworker used that on me once & I'm still not certain when it's appropriate to use it, but I found it terribly ironic, since Bob IS my uncle, & I couldn't ever remember discussing that with her before.
He says that! Actually, he says, "Robert's your favva's bravva," and it's my favorite.
next time he is cooking tell him to "put another shrimp on the barbie!"
AAArrgh with the boyfriend-centric posts! I know what you mean... they make for such interesting literature, but what about us? What about what we think and what about the original foundations of the blog itself? Aren't we enough? AND if we blog about our boyfriend and the relationship fails, does the blog (insert scary music here) fail too??? Agony and defeat! Thanks for the post. I feel the same way... :)
My English husband says, "said the tart to the vicar." Try that on Nick. He'll be well impressed. ;)
